Community Property Issues
The rules governing the division of community property are extremely complicated and not well known by the general public. You don't always have to follow all of the rules. But if you want to make sure you are getting your share you need to talk to a lawyer. It's always worthwhile to talk to a lawyer before dividing up community property. This way, at least, you will know what the law will give you.
