One who is under investigation should never talk to the police or other investigative officers. Anything you say CAN and WILL be used against you. Often the authorities do not have sufficient evidence to bring charges and they are looking for you to give them the information to bring charges. Therefore if you are approached by the police, FBI, DEA, etc. it is crucial that you have legal representation and that a lawyer is the only person who has contact with the authorities.
