Child abuse may involve sexual abuse, negligent care of a child, the willful harming of a child, the use of excessive corporal punishment and most types of physical and psychological abuse of a child.  Depending on how it is charged it can have long term effects upon one convicted including lifetime registration and severe limitations on where once can live.  Only an experience criminal defense attorney should represent a defendant charged with child abuse.
